The first Rebekah's Tape album, made as a cassette in 1998. Given a blank cassette by their friend Rebekah, and charged to fill it with whatever they chose, this is what the group (who had recorded several other tapes under different names with one or two other people involved...) came up with. Later, when they were seeking to play live they chose the name 'Rebekah's Tape' because this was the recording that had the closest lineup of instrumentalists out of all the MAKESHIFT tapes.

Rebekah's Tape was an experimental rock band that formed in 1997-98 out of the MAKESHIFT Music, etc. group's home recording activities. They were active in the Illinois Valley music scene from 1999 to 2009. Members of RT later formed Amalgamated, Gushing Cloud, & Dog Hallucination.
